Stephanie Ford
Director/Senior Advocate
Stephanie has a nursing background, having obtained a Health and Social Care Degree before becoming an Assistant Practitioner at an NHS Hospital and, thereafter, a Senior Discharge Coordinator undertaking NHS Continuing Healthcare Assessments. Stephanie remained in this position for 3 years, after which she obtained a Law Degree with a view to assisting those who did not have the ability to challenge continuing healthcare issues on their own.
Julie Reddish
Operations Director
Julie has worked in the legal sector for over 20 years and is a qualified Chartered Legal Executive dealing historically with contested litigation cases prior to joining our team. Julie’s role is to support the Advocates and their clients during the conduct of the case, and has a clear understanding of the challenges being faced by families who are dealing with care funding problems.
Karen Albon
Advocate
Prior to joining Care Necessities, Karen spent 23 years working for United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, working in various roles, but latterly as a Discharge Coordinator. Karen worked closely with Continuing Health and Social Care colleagues to ensure the correct discharge pathway out of the acute Hospital setting, for many individuals took effect. She is passionate about making sure that everyone has a voice and is treated on an individualised basis.
Georgia Brown
Senior Data Analyst
Georgia has 15 years’ experience working in Care Homes which specialised in supporting those with Dementia. During this time, Georgia worked in many different job roles, leading to a Deputy Manager position, where she not only provided care, but also ensured that legislation was followed for all her residents, maintaining their safety and well-being. Georgia’s role at Care Necessities involves the detailed and forensic review of medical information and data, to include the preparation of comprehensive medical summaries.
Penny Hardy
Advocate
Before joining Care Necessities Penny worked for a Local Authority both in a Care Home and Hospital setting for 13 years. Whilst working in the Hospital setting, Penny facilitated the Hospital discharge process, ensuring patients had the best support possible when they were well enough to leave the Hospital. Before working for a Local Authority, Penny has worked in various care homes over a 25-year period, predominantly working with people with Dementia. Penny’s vast experience working with vulnerable people in various settings enables her to appreciate the difficulties that individuals face living with a long-term medical condition and the challenges which this can bring.
Cecilia Camacho
Trainee Advocate
Cecilia has 13 years’ experience working in a care home as a Senior Carer leading to Deputy Manager and, during that time, she managed two care homes in Leicester and Norwich for the same care home group. Before joining Care Necessities, Cecilia worked for 3 years in a hospital theatre setting and she now has a BSc degree in Community Health Science which she completed in January 2023 with first class honours. Cecilia grew up in different parts of the world and, having lived in the UK for the past 20 years she has a love for different cultures and languages. As a result of her work in care home environments, Cecilia has experience with NHS Continuing Healthcare Funding and is very passionate about providing individuals with the support they often need to ensure that have the right funding in place.
Donna Howden
Administrator
Donna joined Care Necessities in 2022, having previously spent 11 years in the legal costs sector and prior to that, 24 years working in the financial services sector. Donna’s role is to support the Advocates and their clients during the conduct of the case and has a real empathy for the challenges being faced by families who are dealing with care fee funding problems.
Glynis Jobes
Administrator
Glynis joined Care Necessities in 2023 having worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years. Glynis is the first point of contact for new client enquires and also supports our Advocates during the conduct of their cases. Glynis is person-centred and passionate about helping people.
Hannah Webster
Administrator
Before joining Care Necessities, Hannah worked for a legal costs company where she accumulated 13 years’ experience forensically reviewing solicitors’ files and preparing detailed bills of costs and high value costs budgets for court approval. Hannah assists all the Advocates with their cases.
